Master's Level Internship Opportunity

Paragon Behavioral Health Services, LLC (PBHS) is seeking a master’s level mental health counseling intern to provide outpatient services for our office.  The master’s level intern will be supervised individually by a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). The intern will be responsible for maintaining a clinical caseload, completing necessary paperwork, and providing individual therapy under direct supervision. The intern will have the opportunity to design and market group therapy based upon approved evidenced-based intervention. The intern will be responsible for marketing themselves through Psychology Today and writing a bio to add to our website. One-six interns per Fall/Spring semester will be selected, depending on supervisor availability. Interns who can complete both the Fall/Spring semesters are preferred.   CACREP accredited schools required.

Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC)

Paragon Behavioral Health Services, LLC is looking for motivated Master-level clinicians to be a part of our team in Berks, Montgomery, and Lancaster counties! Clinicians must have experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and hold State Licensure as an LPC, LSW, or Licensed Behavior Specialist. BCBA preferred, but not required. The Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) works with the family and other members of the treatment team, such as school staff to design and direct a behavior modification plan that will meet the needs of the child and family. A BSC provides assessment, program design and monitoring of treatment interventions rather than direct therapy.   


Essential job functions include the following: 

o Provide assessment of the client and family needs/strengths  

o Conduct functional behavioral assessments  

o Develop, implement and maintain fidelity in the delivery of behavioral supports and treatment interventions  o Participate in the Biopsychosocial Evaluation/Re-Evaluation by providing pertinent clinical information via, including but not limited to, direct reports, clinical reviews, functional behavioral assessments, completed structured assessment tools, and updated goals, objectives, and interventions in the treatment plan and behavior modification plan

  o Design and direct the implementation of a Treatment Plan and Behavior Modification Intervention Plan 

 o Collaborate with team members as needed o Complete all paperwork within policy time frames  o Schedule and facilitate interagency meetings  o Provide services within authorized amount of hours per week  o Revise treatment plans as needed  o Attend staff meetings & mandatory trainings as necessary 

 o Provide weekly supervision to TSS with documentation of supervision

 o Attend supervision minimum of 1 hour a month 

 o Travel to and from client sites to perform services o Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 


Qualifications:  This position requires individuals that are client focused; team oriented; great interpersonal and communication skills; dependable; problem solving skills; organizational skills; focused on compliance and performance quality. 


Licensure required. Experience with conducting Functional Behavior Assessments preferred. Experience with utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis strongly preferred.

Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS)

Paragon Behavioral Health Services, LLC is looking for motivated, Associate and bachelor-level individuals to be a part of our team for the position of Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) Berks, Montgomery, and Lancaster counties! A TSS provides specialized behavioral services directed by a detailed treatment plan under the direction of a Behavior Specialist Consultant.


 Essential job functions include the following: 

o Provide one-on-one behavioral interventions to clients

o Assist parent/caregiver/teacher with implementation of behavior plan

o Monitor client’s behaviors emphasized in the treatment plan o Intervene and redirect challenging behaviors 

o Collect accurate and detailed data driven by treatment plan

 o Collaborate with team members and transfer skills to others 

o Complete all paperwork within policy timeframe o Attend annual trainings 

o Attend weekly supervision with Masters level clinician 

o Travel to and from client sites to perform services o Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

o An Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) college credits with the equivalent of at least three (3) years paid full- time experience* in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents 

o Clearances for Child Abuse, FBI and State Criminal, as well as CPR/First Aid Certification  *Full-time work with children/adolescents means: MH, MR, early intervention, children & youth, juvenile justice system, education, drug and alcohol, daycare or health systems.
