CatapalloVR helps the NeuroDiverse population catapult over the service gap for a smoother transition into adulthood. They build virtual reality (VR) modules focused on CORE skills essential to reduce the service need. Modules provide a score at the end that tracks data over time to demonstrate skill acquisition.
Paragon uses CatapalloVR’s software to help teach essential living skills to our group to safely build muscle memory before transferring to the real-world.
We would like to invite autistic teens 12-17 to enroll in our Virtual Reality Program.
Scenario 1:Let’s get chopping! In this first scenario, participants walk through the steps of safely cutting, washing, and preparing vegetables.
Scenario 2:
Turn it up! Time to fire up the stove and learn how to make some delicious mac ‘n cheese. This scenario details liquid measuring, following detailed instructions, and putting it all together.
Scenario 3:
It’s chickie nuggie time! Finally, let’s get the oven cranking and the nuggies cooking. Participants learn how to safely use an oven, timer, and cook some crispy chicken.
Not to worry! We do too. Our headsets will fit over glasses and we have an additional expanding option. We find it perfectly comfortable with our glasses on, for the most part, without the expander.
Group is held in one of our on-site locations. While we will be using Virtual Reality headsets, participants have to be physically located in one of our offices.

While this is a relatively new application for virtual reality, there are studies that suggest this is an effective teaching tool.
Most people have an enjoyable VR experience! However, it’s not for everyone. Please inform us if your child suffers from epilepsy, migraines, vertigo, or psychosis. Using a virtual reality headset may exacerbate their symptoms. We can use a tablet or a computer to run the software as an alternative to the VR headset.

Our VR program accepts: Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH) - Berks County Medical Assistance; PerformCare - Lancaster County Medical Assistance. A participant must have Medical Assistance (MA) in one of the above mentioned counties. Please call to inquire about commercial insurance plans.
